oUR viSION:
WELLNESS through culture
Iwikua serves as an educational resource to benefit the wellness of west Kauaʻi and future generations through sustainable food production, physical fitness, and cultural exchange.
Our Programs
We aim to address community wellness through three main areas: cultural education and exchange, food production, and physical fitness.
Cultural education
Reconnecting community members to cultural practices relating to all aspects of wellness - spiritual and physical - to strengthen ourselves and our future generations.
Food sovereignty
Sustainable food production to provide for our community and restaurants while educating our youth about farming practices, combining traditional and modern techniques.
Community enrichment
Providing camps and exchange programs for youth participants to build upon their cultural experiences, and opportunities for community members to engage in culturally-rooted events.
Physical wellness
Utilizing the space at Makana Training Center to reconnect student athletes and adult community members to fitness training to achieve health and longevity.
